#R1# Check throws a nice head kick!
Charles Check seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Check throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Barny's head. Check goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Check swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
The fight stays on the outside here - Check looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Barny is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Check misses with a head kick.
Check throws a head kick that misses #TD2# and Barny counters with a shoot takedown. Check fights it but they end up in guard. Barny slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Barny with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Barny works over Check with some ground and pound from guard. Barny postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Barny passes Check's left leg - he's now in half guard. Barny lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Barny has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.#T1# Barny looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Check pushes Barny off but Barny dives into side control.
Barny in side control lands a decent elbow. You can see the frustration on Check's face as Barny controls the position. Barny in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Barny looks up at the clock and then as Check takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Barny smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
#ROC2#Check is rocked! Check takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Oh Check is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!#SUB2# Barny is working to tighten his grip on Check's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Check has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Barny is really squeezing tight and eventually Check passes out! Barny breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
