Shortman dives in and grabs Dempsey's left leg, looking for a takedown. Dempsey pushes down on Shortman's head and hops out.

Shortman goes for a double leg but Dempsey avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Dempsey continues to drive forward.
It looked like Dempsey was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Shortman.

Dempsey throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Shortman stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
