#TD2# and Lingfield counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Lingfield working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though. Lingfield is looking to advance position but Szopa won't allow it. Lingfield wants to lay and pray for a moment but Szopa keeps working. #SUB2# Lingfield is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Szopa is just riding it out for now. Lingfield eventually gives up the hold. #SUB2# Lingfield is working for a kimura but Szopa is defending it quite comfortably.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lingfield looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. #T1# Lingfield working over Szopa with some ground and pound. Szopa pushes down on Porfirigo's head and hops out.#TD# Porfirigo gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Szopa to score an easy takedown into full guard. Szopa trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Szopa working some strikes from top position. Szopa keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Porfirigo's head. Porfirigo has momentary wrist control but Szopa slips an elbow through the middle. Porfirigo pulls Szopa in to control the position. Szopa throws a strike but Porfirigo rolls with it and manages to sweep. We've been hearing that Cudlitz has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Szopa pulls Cudlitz in close to prevent any damage. Cudlitz working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Cudlitz stopping the sweep attempt from Szopa. Cudlitz wants to control from the top but Szopa keeps moving. Cudlitz stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Szopa swivels though and keeps the full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Szopa follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Nice jab there from Szopa. Szopa lands a slapping body shot.
Nice takedown defense from Szopa. No joy for Mesquita on that attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nixon Mesquita. That's going to take a lot out of him. Szopa distracts Mesquita with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Szopa with a nice head shot there. Szopa stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mesquita swivels though and keeps the full guard. Szopa working some strikes from top position. Szopa lands a couple of decent looking shots. Mesquita looking for a sweep. Not yet Mesquita, not yet. Szopa postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.#SUB# Mesquita working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Szopa doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Szopa manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Szopa's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Ingo Szopa is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.#T3# Szopa controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Mesquita controls Szopa momentarily but Szopa frees himself. Szopa postures up and lands a big shot to Mesquita's brow. Mesquita keeping full guard, as Szopa tries to pass. Mesquita trying to keep a closed guard but Szopa is proving a slippery customer.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Mesquita is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Szopa cracks Mesquita with a solid left hand.#T4# The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Szopa landing with the ground and pound. Szopa controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. #REF3# The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Mesquita takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Nice uppercut lands for Szopa. That snapped Mesquita's head back.
#TD2# Szopa shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Szopa was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Szopa controlling the position. Nixon Mesquita has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Szopa is chipping away with strikes.
Mesquita seems a little lost for a moment, as Szopa dominates the positioning. Mesquita gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
And that's the end of the fight! Ingo Szopa comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Szopa has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

#R1# Omoh fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Szopa on the side of the head. Szopa takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.#KD2# Omoh feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Szopa sprawling to the canvas! Szopa rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Omoh finish him?!
#ROC2#Szopa is rocked! Omoh scores with a hook to the body. Szopa takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Oh Szopa is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Omoh engages and cracks Szopa with a massive lead left hook - Szopa tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Omoh is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!
