Park doesn't seem bothered though. Park walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Gomez scores with a jab to the head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Gomez lands a glancing blow to the side of Park's head. Gomez keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Park. Gomez has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off. Park throws a shot from downtown. Sokol moves away and avoids it. Sokol fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Sokol throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Sokol steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Park. Park throws a body shot but no joy. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Sokol lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Park has 5 minutes to recover. Hoya looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Hoya showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Park.
Park throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hoya. Hoya unleashes a big counter combination but Park bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Park stuns Hoya with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Park connects with a jab. Park dances in with a quick combination. Hoya is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Park snaps Hoya's head back. Hoya stumbles backwards against the cage. Park steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Hoya's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Hoya just didn't come prepared.
