Pusher went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Pusher uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Cartier.

Cartier tries to sprawl but Pusher drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Pusher missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Pusher throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Pusher wants to pass to mount but Cartier is defending the position.
Pusher is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Cartier!
Pusher lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Cartier is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.#SUB#
Pusher has hold of Cartier's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Cartier manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.#SUB#
Pusher is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Cartier is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Cartier flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Pusher anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Cartier and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Pusher slips an arm under Cartier chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Pusher has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Pusher is squeezing on Cartier like an anaconda would it's prey. Cartier fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Robert Pusher!
A very excited looking Robert Pusher rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed. |

Cartier ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kitty moves away.
Kitty is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Kitty gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Cartier dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Nice uppercut lands for Cartier. That snapped Kitty's head back.
Kitty takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Cartier tries to clinch but Kitty moves out of range.

and Kitty counters with a nice double leg into side control. Cartier won't be happy with that. #SUB2#
Kitty has hold of Cartier's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Cartier seems comfortable defending it but Kitty has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Cartier is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Cartier is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Kitty couldn't care less - he's delighted!
