#R1# Roberts throws a half hearted mid kick. Roberts throws a lazy body kick #TD2# and Mir decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Roberts's guard. Roberts will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Mir stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Roberts swivels though and keeps the full guard. Roberts wants to stand and escape but Mir is having none of it. Mir postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Mir preventing the sweep. Roberts on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Roberts tries to get out of the position. Roberts keeping moving, preventing Mir from controlling successfully. Roberts utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mir trying to control but Roberts is working from the bottom. Roberts controls Mir momentarily but Mir frees himself.
