#R1# Random misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Mir half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Random looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Mir is fending him off so far but Random persists. Nope, Mir circles away and we're back to standing.#TD# Mir fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Random sprawls well initially but Mir persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Mir thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Mir has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Mir working over Random with some ground and pound. Random looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Random is trying to maintain the position but Mir is very close to passing his half guard. Random is controlling Mir's trapped leg to prevent Mir from advancing to side control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Random wants to improve his position but Mir is controlling well.

Random is looking for a sweep. Mir is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.#SUB# Mir is looking for a kimura but Random is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Mir to get the leverage. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Mir in particular looking to stall.#T2# The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.#SUB# Mir is working for a kimura but Random is defending it quite comfortably.
#SUB# Mir is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Random is just riding it out for now. Mir eventually gives up the hold. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
#T3# Random avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Mir. #SU# Mir stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Random to get to his feet. Random feints a jab promting Mir to slip. Random then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Mir slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Mir leaves Random with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Frank Mir has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Someone Random. Mir wants to clinch up but Random keeps it at a distance.#CL2# Random moves into the clinch. The referee is keeping an eye on Random - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Mir is pressed up against the cage. Random has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Mir down to the mat. Mir avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. #T4# Mir gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Mir fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Random shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Mir as he avoids it easily. Mir throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. #CL2# Random has Mir up against the cage in a clinch.
Mir wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Mir misses with a hook to the ribs.
Random fails to pull guard.
#TD# Mir gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Random wants to get back to his feet but Mir passes into half guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Frank Mir dominated that round. That's time! Mir's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.#R2# Random shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Mir sprawls well. Mir wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Random gets slowly back to his feet.#TD2# Random drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Random trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Random postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Random trying to stand up but can't free himself from Mir's guard. Random throws a big elbow that misses. #T1# Mir pulls Random in to control the position. #SUB# Mir looking for subs off his back but Random has passed one foot through into half guard.
Random working over Mir with some ground and pound. Mir looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Mir is trying to maintain the position but Random is very close to passing his half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Random wants to get back to his feet.
Random wants to control but Mir is keeping him busy. #T2# Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.#SUB# Mir looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Random with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. #REF3# The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Random fails miserably with a takedown attempt.#TD2# Random shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Mir striking off his back but it's not causing Random any problems. Random is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.#T3# Mir controls Random momentarily but Random frees himself. Mir is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Random must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Mir working a defensive guard here.
Random throws a strike but Mir rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. #REVR##T4# A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.#SUB2# Random working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mir doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Mir manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Random is breathing heavily. Mir trying to control but Random is working from the bottom. Random is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Mir is working Random over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.#SU# Mir stands and steps away. Random gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Someone Random showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!#R3##TD# Mir looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Mir trying to control the action but Random is working from the bottom. Mir is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Random! Random tries to get back to half guard but can't. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mir lands a big elbow. Random keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Mir scoring with strikes but Random is staying in there. Random takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.#T2# Random is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Mir tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. A nice elbow there by Mir. Frank Mir overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Random tries to hold on but Mir postures up.#SUB# Mir goes for an armbar but Random turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Random. Random throws a big right hand that misses. #T3##SUB# Mir working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Random has passed into half guard!

Not this time. #ES# Mir manages to escape and get back to his feet! Mir stuffs the takedown attempt from Random. Random gets slowly back to his feet. Mir fails to land with a series of punches.
Random changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.#CL# Mir darts in and clinches Random up against the cage.#BC2# Random pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.#TD# Mir scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Random pushes Mir off and gets back to his feet.
And that's the end of the fight! Someone Random comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I have no idea who won that fight. Let's wait and see whether the judges are as confused as me! Time for a split decision perhaps?!. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
