#R1# Trader tries to clinch but Carnate moves out of range. Carnate misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Trader tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Carnate manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.#TD2# Trader gets caught napping as Carnate dives in and scores a takedown. Trader manages to retain guard.#SUB2# Carnate drops back looking for a leg! Trader is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Trader manages to kick Carnate off! Carnate jumps back into Trader's guard. Trader is striking off his back. Carnate thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Carnate performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Trader is looking to control Carnate's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Trader avoid being mounted?#T1# Trader on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Carnate wants to pass to mount but Trader is defending the position. Trader knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Carnate on the ground. Carnate slips a nice elbow through Trader's hands, connecting with Trader's forehead.#SUB2# Carnate is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Trader has managed to free his arm - good work. Carnate is nestled in close to Trader, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Trader tries to roll over but Carnate keeps him under control.#T2# Carnate keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.#SUB2# Carnate is working for a kimura but Trader is defending it quite comfortably.
Carnate wants to pass to mount but Trader is defending the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Carnate with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. #ES# Trader manages to escape and get back to his feet! #T3# Trader displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Carnate. Trader is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Carnate. Trader looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Carnate is fending him off so far but Trader persists. Nope, Carnate circles away and we're back to standing. Carnate has a takedown stuffed. Trader looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.#CL2# Carnate has closed the distance and engaged Trader in a clinch.
We've been informed that Carnate has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Carnate prevents the takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bout Trader. That's going to take a lot out of him. Trader tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Carnate smiles and moves away.
#TD2# Carnate shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Trader is trying to defend but Carnate finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.#T4# Carnate landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Trader is trying to maintain the position but Carnate is very close to passing his half guard. Trader wants to improve his position but Carnate is controlling well.
Carnate keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Trader trying to hold on to Carnate's head to control him but Carnate postures up.

Carnate seems keen to control Trader's posture. Carnate wants to sweep but no luck. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Trader tries to free his leg and advance position but Carnate is retaining full guard. Carnate seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. #T1# Carnate keeping moving, preventing Trader from controlling successfully. Carnate has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Trader throwing strikes from guard but Carnate blocks nicely. Trader throws a body punch but Carnate moves out of range. Carnate stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Carnate wants it to stay on the feet. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Carnate! But no joy.#CL2# Carnate forces Trader back against the cage and clinches.#TD2# Carnate lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.

Trader is trying to maintain the position but Carnate is very close to passing his half guard. Trader is looking to get back to full guard here but Carnate has managed to pass to side control instead.#T3# Carnate just content to control the position. Trader is looking for a sweep. Trader can't do much from the bottom here. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. #SUB2# Carnate tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Carnate has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! #T4# Trader stops Carnate from passing to mount. Carnate landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. #CUT2#It looks like Bout Trader has been cut. Trader looks to move to half guard but instead Carnate has passed into mount! Damn! Carnate sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!#SU2# Carnate is standing up, even though he is in mount. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Rein Carnate showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Bout Trader's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!#R3# Trader will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.#TD2# Carnate scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Carnate works his way into full mount! Trader really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
