The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.#TD# Lama closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Brown quickly recovers to half guard. It looks like he's just sitting there. #SUB2# Brown actively working from the bottom here. Brown is looking to improve his position.

Brown can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Lama controls the pace. Lama pushes down on Brown's leg and manages to get into half guard. Lama wants to advance to full mount but Brown doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead. Brown keeping full guard, as Lama tries to pass. #T2# Lama controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Lama trying to control but Brown is working from the bottom. Lama's corner is telling him to maintain position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lama passes into half guard. Brown manages to get to full guard.
Lama stands and throws Brown's legs to the side, diving into side control. And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 0 losses; Optimal Poopypants! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Frank Dennis and Gwen Towbar.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.#CL2# Poopypants closes the distance and clinches.#TD# Brown has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Poopypants uses from the top position. #SUB# Poopypants content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Brown has locked up a guillotine! Brown's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Poopypants is holding on here and Brown must be using up a lot of energy. Poopypants has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Brown gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!

And in the blue corner, fighting out of Tokyo, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Paul Brown! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Chris Downing and George Francis.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.#TD# Shewmaker fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Brown to the ground. Shewmaker is now in Brown's guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Shewmaker (2) vs (0) Brown Shewmaker engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. #SUB2# Shewmaker avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Brown is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard. Shewmaker wants to sweep here but Brown controlling him for the moment. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Shewmaker tries to get out of the position. #R1# Brown takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Brown tries to clinch but Petrov moves away and Petrov counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Brown throws a jab when Petrov was well out of range. Brown throws a lazy uppercut
and Petrov counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Brown shoots in but no luck this time. Brown gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Petrov counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. #CL2# Brown moves into the clinch.#TD2# Brown gets a trip takedown into half guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Petrov won't allow Brown to pass to mount. Petrov tries to kick Brown off but Brown keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.#SUB2# Brown looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that.
