#R1# St Pierre fails with a takedown attempt. St Pierre shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Reeves but Reeves pushes him off and we're back to square one. Reeves moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. #TD2# St Pierre looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Reeves wants to get back to full guard. Reeves really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Still in half guard, St Pierre seems content to control.#T1# Reeves gets back to full guard.

#TD2# St Pierre looking to score a takedown here. Reeves is defending well but St Pierre drives through and ends up in Reeves's guard. Reeves tries to land a sweep but no joy. St Pierre controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Reeves is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. #REVR# Reeves is keen to just control but St Pierre is a slippery customer.#T3# St Pierre is trying to get back to full guard. St Pierre is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Reeves connects with a nice short shot to St Pierre's temple. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Reeves missing with the ground and pound from half guard. St Pierre tries to get to full guard but Reeves has control of the leg. Reeves working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. #T4# St Pierre wants to control but Reeves is keeping busy.
Reeves landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. St Pierre is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Reeves seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but St Pierre does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Reeves is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because St Pierre is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. St Pierre keeps control of the position for the meantime. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. St Pierre avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Reeves. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Ryan Reeves will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.#R2# St Pierre tries to land a body kick#CL# and Reeves holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Reeves unloads a knee to the mid-section. St Pierre working hard to break the clinch. Reeves jumps guard but St Pierre turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. St Pierre is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Reeves pulls him back up using the underhooks. #TD2# St Pierre has clasped his hands together around Reeves's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Reeves is looking to reverse the position. You can see the frustration on Reeves's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Reeves tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but St Pierre wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. St Pierre working away.#T1# St Pierre cracks Reeves with a big right hand but Reeves just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

St Pierre scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Reeves to see if he's OK. St Pierre landing a few strikes. Reeves tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad. St Pierre dominating with strikes here. Reeves slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. St Pierre keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.#T2# St Pierre looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Reeves with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. St Pierre is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. St Pierre is continuing to stall. St Pierre seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. St Pierre stops Reeves from getting back to his feet.

St Pierre is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Reeves can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Reeves wants to hold on but St Pierre pushes him away. St Pierre looking to control and managing it successfully. St Pierre can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Reeves is looking to escape. #T4# St Pierre prevents Reeves from getting the reversal. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, St Pierre cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
A nice elbow there by St Pierre. St Pierre tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Ryan St Pierre has got the better of the ground game so far. St Pierre landing punches. #ROC2#Reeves is rocked! And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Ryan St Pierre showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!#R3##TD2# St Pierre shoots in for a takedown. He's got it... He's hoisted his opponent over his head and is carrying him over to the other end of the mat. The crowd roars in approval and St Pierre slams his opponent to the mat. OH, that is naaaaaasty! He's out! St Pierre lands a punch to his unconscious victim for good measure before the ref has time to call the fight.
