Beaver has closed the distance and engaged Cane in a clinch.
Beaver has Cane pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Cane manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Cane tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Beaver just stands there and leans against the cage.
Cane is working for takedown but Beaver is calmly controlling the position for now.
Cane has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Beaver avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Duane Cane. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Cane jumps guard but Beaver stands there with Cane around his waist. Cane gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Cane tries to score a power double leg takedown but Beaver sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Cane somewhat.
Brad Beaver seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
