#R1# Herman takes a jab right on the kisser.
Franco connects with a solid leg kick. Nice cross by Franco. Herman closes the distance and clinches up with Franco, looking for a takedown. Herman pushes Franco against the cage but Franco circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Franco works the jab nicely. Herman takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Herman misses with a takedown and Franco counters with a right hand to the body. Franco is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Herman takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Franco scores with a hook to the body. Herman takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Franco throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Herman on the side of the head. Franco lands a really nice looking cross but Herman seems unphased.
Franco uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Herman wants to clinch and Franco counters with an inside leg kick. Juan David Franco seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Franco scoring well with a low kick there.
Herman is looking to clinch. Franco throws out a counter right but Herman avoids it with no problem. Franco is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Herman had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.#T1# Franco cracks a nice hook into Herman's ribs. A cross from Franco lands. Herman is breathing heavily. A cross from Franco lands. Herman on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Franco lands with a hook. Herman tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Franco lands with a straight right. Herman didn't see that one coming. Franco dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
