#R1# Duterte shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Smith pinned against the cage. Smith gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Duterte fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Smith looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Duterte throws a right and a left that Smith avoids nicely. #TD2# Smith decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Duterte kicks off Smith and gets to his feet. Duterte is breathing heavily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Smith ducks under a wild hook from Duterte. Smith uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Duterte. And Smith tries to counter it with a takedown but Duterte pushes his down on his head and steps out. Smith closes the distance and clinches up with Duterte, looking for a takedown. Smith pushes Duterte against the cage but Duterte circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Duterte attempts a counter takedown but Smith avoids it well and moves away.#T1##TD2# Smith scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.#SUB2# Smith has hold of Duterte's arm. Oliveira is trying to improve his position. Smith advances nicely into full mount. Smith wants to take his opponent's back but Oliveira doesn't allow it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Smith misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Diaz shoots in for a double leg but Smith sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Smith tries to counter with a takedown but Diaz is quick to defend against it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Diaz swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Fisher lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Smith shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Fisher as he jumps to the side. Smith throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Fisher's waist but Fisher gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Smith off to one side. Artair Fisher has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. Virtanen cracks Smith with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Smith shoots for a takedown but Virtanen saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Smith looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Smith shoots in for a takedown but Virtanen shows good takedown defense. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Don Smith. That's going to take a lot out of him. Smith walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Smith has his head snapped back a nice jab. Crawford is fighting it off but Smith persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Crawford's guard against the cage. Smith seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Crawford will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Crawford wants to stand and escape but Smith is having none of it. Crawford tries to land a sweep but no joy. Smith is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
