#R1# Rivera takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Rivera shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Khan connects with a high kick. Rivera tries for a takedown but Khan sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Khan lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Khan. Rivera fails with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mason Rivera. That's going to take a lot out of him. Khan connects with a jab. Khan connects with a solid leg kick. Khan tries to bum rush Rivera with a series of wild strikes but Rivera uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Rivera throws a big counter combination but Khan scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Rivera shoots and misses and Khan makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.#T1# Khan scores with a push kick.#CL2# Khan clinches up with Rivera and pushes him back against the cage. Rivera changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Khan fights it off and pushes away nicely.
#TD# Rivera drives through with a takedown into guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Rivera passes Khan's left leg - he's now in half guard. Khan wants to get back to his feet.#SUB# Rivera is working for a kimura but Khan is defending it quite comfortably.

#SUB# Rivera is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Khan doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Rivera. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.#SUB# Rivera is working for a submission of some sort.
#T3# Khan is pressing down on Rivera's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Khan wants to sweep but no luck. Rivera passes Khan's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Khan is trying is best to control the position here. #SUB# Rivera is looking for a kimura but Khan is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Rivera to get the leverage. #SUB# Rivera seems to be looking for submissions.
Khan makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Khan.#T4# Rivera passes Khan's left leg - he's now in half guard. Khan is trying to stand back up but Rivera is controlling him
#SUB# Rivera looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Khan is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Rivera's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Rivera's back!#SUB2# Khan looking to finish the fight with a rear naked choke. Rivera is controlling Khan 's left arm and he spins nicely into guard. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Daanish Khan will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.#R2# Khan tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Khan lands with a kick to the temple. Rivera shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Rivera shoots in looking for a takedown but Khan manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Rivera's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Khan throws a head kick but Rivera moves out of range.

Rivera is looking to counter the offense by Khan and move into the clinch.#TD# Rivera shoots in and bounces Khan off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.#SUB2# Khan looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Rivera has picked Khan up and slammed him! Khan can't keep hold of the triangle and Rivera manages to pass to side control! Khan is breathing heavily. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Khan is pushing Rivera's head away, looking to escape. Rivera manages to hold on to the position though.#T1##SUB# Rivera has an Americana. Khan didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Rivera is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Rivera hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

#R1# Khan throws a head kick that misses. Garcia fails with a takedown attempt. Khan has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Garcia shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Khan sprawls well. Khan wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Garcia gets slowly back to his feet. Khan appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Garcia lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Khan keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Liam Garcia. That's going to take a lot out of him.#CL2# Khan closes the distance and clinches.#BC# Garcia pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.#T1##TD2# Khan feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Khan pushing down on Garcia's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Khan with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.#SUB2# Khan seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Garcia is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
