Requis misses with a hook. Mir ducked under it nicely.
Mir could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Requis throws a hook to the side of Mir's head but Mir sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Nice defenses there by Mir.
Mir moves out of range as Requis strikes.
Requis throws out a loose jab but Mir uses good head movement to avoid it.
Mir attempts a counter takedown but Requis avoids it well and moves away.
Requis throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Mir on the side of the head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mir is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Requis is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Requis really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mir. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.#SUB#

Mir has an Americana. Requis didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Mir is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Mir hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

Pustik takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Pustik shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Requis defends it nicely.
Pustik has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Pustik there as he acknowledges the shot.#TD#
Pustik closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Requis has hold of Pustik's hands but Pustik slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Pustik missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Requis tries to roll over but Pustik keeps him under control.
Pustik thows a huge punch but Requis dodges it nicely.
Pustik lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Requis quite badly. Requis pulls Pustik in close trying to recover. Pustik postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Requis on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Requis doesn't seem to be complaining too much.

Requis lunges at Sup with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Sup's hand.
Requis jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Sup shoots in looking for a takedown. Requis tries to sprawl out of it but Sup keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Requis manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Requis throwing a counter right hand but Sup manages to avoid it.
Requis lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Sup's coach down at Brloh was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Sup's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Sup lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Requis circles away quickly and effectively.
Requis 's jab looks to have found its range, popping Sup under the eye.#ROC#Sup is rocked!
Sup circles to his right, straight into a beautiful hook by Requis . Sup falls face first into the canvas - great knockout victory for Requis !
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). The Requis !
The Requis took to the mic in his post fight interview and said 'I told everybody exacty what would happen today, and I was right. I want the belt, and I'll beat anyone who dares to stand in my way. '. |
