Parker shoots in looking for a takedown. Mi tries to sprawl out of it but Parker keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Mi manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Mi jabbing away but nothing is landing.
A nice side step and Parker releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Mi misses with a jab, cross combination.
Parker darts in looking for a takedown but Mi gets double underhooks and turns Parker into the cage.
It looked like Mi wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Parker on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Parker uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Mi.
Mi looks to throw the jab but Parker is out of range.
Parker is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Parker misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Yusuck Mi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joseph Parker.
Mi misses with a double jab.
Parker tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Mi fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.#T1#
Parker takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Parker shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Mi pinned against the cage. Mi gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Mi takes a swing at Parker's ribcage but misses.
Yusuck Mi is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Parker tries a head kick but it misses.
Parker takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
A head kick misses from Mi.
Parker shoots in for a takedown but Mi shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Mi throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Mi lets his hands go wild with a nice combination. Left! Right! Uppercut! Spinning backfist! Parker goes down and covers up as Mi starts wailing on him! The ref watches the action closely before stepping in and putting a stop to the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Yusuck Mi! |
