Funny has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.#SUB2# Strakapoud working for a triangle but Funny defends it easily.
#SUB2# Strakapoud working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Funny doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. McCoy has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Nice shot by McCoy. McCoy displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. McCoy is looking to slow Funny down with leg kicks. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! McCoy lunges at Funny with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Funny's hand. McCoy comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. McCoy bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. McCoy lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. McCoy's corner calls for a 1-2. McCoy obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Funny takes one on the chin but seems OK.

McCoy plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. A punch lands to the side of Funny 's head but he takes it in his stride. McCoy fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Funny takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

McCoy has been the more effective fighter overall so far. McCoy fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Funny on the side of the head. Funny looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Funny is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
McCoy with a nice calf kick. Funny definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. McCoy thuds his right hand into Funny's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Funny walks into a straight right hand from McCoy. McCoy throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Funny stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. McCoy lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. McCoy lands a nice shot that snaps Funny's head back.

A punch lands to the side of Funny 's head but he takes it in his stride. McCoy goes for a high kick. It partially lands. McCoy fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Funny has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. McCoy misses with a head kick.
McCoy cracks a nice hook into Funny's ribs. McCoy throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Funny. McCoy scores with a leg kick.
Funny moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Funny fails with a takedown attempt. #T3# That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Funny crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from McCoy - the referee stops the clock and Funny gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says McCoy. Funny manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. McCoy misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Funny.
Funny walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. The crowd cheers as McCoy lands an impressive looking overhand right. Funny doesn't seem phased though. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Funny is defended easily by McCoy. McCoy misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Doug Funny. That's going to take a lot out of him. Funny has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Funny there as he acknowledges the shot. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Decent striking displayed by McCoy there. McCoy connects with a nice looking jab.

That was a close round but I would say that Doug Funny will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Doug Funny's cut. The corners get their ten second warning.
