#R1# Rockwell shoots for a takedown but DeJesus saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. DeJesus leaves Rockwell with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. DeJesus connects with a jab. Rockwell misses with a double jab.
DeJesus looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. DeJesus throws a hook but Rockwell avoids it easily. Rockwell is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from DeJesus. Xavier DeJesus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.#TD# Rockwell shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Rockwell frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Rockwell with some aggressive grappling here, looking for the finish.

DeJesus escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Scott throws a series of punches but DeJesus moves out of range. DeJesus fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Scott on the side of the head. DeJesus displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Scott displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as DeJesus throws out the jab. Scott misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

DeJesus lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. #CUT#It looks like Maverick Scott has been cut. DeJesus throws a poor cross that misses

DeJesus throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Mondell is looking to counter punch. Mondell gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and DeJesus counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gordon Mondell. That's going to take a lot out of him.#CL2# DeJesus moves into the clinch successfully.

Parker feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits DeJesuss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!#KD2# Parker drops DeJesus with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but DeJesus looks back up at him and smiles so Parker waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
