#R1##TD2# Van Der Velt shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Hansen tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Van Der Velt manages to move to mount!
Van Der Velt controlling from the full mount. Hansen knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Van Der Velt on the ground. Van Der Velt throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Hansen because Van Der Velt loaded up on that one. Hansen wants to hold on but Van Der Velt pushes him away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hansen working to try and regain half guard.
Van Der Velt wants to take his opponent's back but Hansen doesn't allow it. #T1# Van Der Velt can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Hansen is looking to escape. Hansen is trying to escape the mount.
#SUB2# Van Der Velt working for a guillotine from mount but Hansen is in no mood to give up. #SUB2# Van Der Velt has control of Hansen's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Hansen regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Hansen is wriggling around trying to escape.
#T2##SUB2# Van Der Velt working for a submission but Hansen is keeping him at bay. Hansen is squirming around, avoiding Van Der Velt's attempts to control the action. Hansen really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Hansen is just holding on here. Van Der Velt manages to take his back.
#T3# Van Der Velt not allowing Hansen to control his hands. Van Der Velt is looking to control Hansen but Hansen is wriggling around and keeping busy. Van Der Velt controlling from the back. Van Der Velt avoiding Hansen 's attempts to control his hands. #T4# A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Van Der Velt has the hooks in. Hansen is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. Van Der Velt punches the canvas rather than the man. Hansen is really stuck here.
#SUB2# Van Der Velt has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Hansen! Can he survive? No! He's out! Van Der Velt gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
