Yan bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Kim is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Yan. Yan looks like he wants to counter punch here. Kim throws a body shot but no joy. Kim takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

#R1# Kim throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Kim tests Briggs's chin there with a solid looking shot.#CUT#It looks like Macka Briggs has been cut. Kim misses with a hook to the body
#CL2# and Briggs counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Briggs. Kim lands a hook that snaps the head of Briggs backwards. #BC# Kim breaks the clinch.
Kim jabs Briggs right on the nose. Briggs blinks but takes it well.#TD2# Briggs shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Kim napping and manages to drive through into side control! Kim can't do much from the bottom here. Kim's coaches at Takeda Clan Gym have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position. Kim tries to improve position but can't. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Briggs in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. #T1# Kim tries to buck Briggs off but Briggs is having none of it. Briggs wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kim keeps working. Kim is looking to regain half guard here but Briggs keeps moving and retains side control.
