Strom knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rivera on the ground. Rivera throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rivera is looking to stand up but Strom isn't so interested in that idea. Rivera not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Strom tries to free his leg and advance position but Rivera is retaining full guard. Strom might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.#T1# Strom sitting in guard here, content to control. #REF3# The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Strom blocks a jab. Rivera is a painfully thin specimen of a man. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Strom wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Rivera manages to pass to side control. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Strom slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Rivera prevents Nating from breaking the clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rivera has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Nating after a bit of a struggle. Nating gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Rivera.

Rivera can't fight it off and eventually Nating manages to take the fight to the floor. Rivera looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. #TD# Nating fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Rivera to the ground. Nating is now in Rivera's guard. Rivera has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Nating off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. #CL2# Rivera gets a clinch. #BC2# Rivera breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Nating really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Strom wants to pass the guard but Rivera is keeping the position. Strom slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Rivera tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Strom cranks the arm and Rivera screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Rivera, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
