Dos Santos tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Boy manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Dos Santos closes the distance looking to clinch and Boy counters with a lovely shot to the body. Dos Santos tries to clinch but fails miserably and Boy counters with a left to the body. #TD# Dos Santos throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Boy was covering up waiting for the punch and Dos Santos finishes the takedown easily into guard. Dos Santos trying to control the position from guard on top but Boy is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Boy pulls Dos Santos in close to prevent any damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dos Santos postures up in Boy's guard and throws a big left but Boy blocks it. Boy utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Dos Santos missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. #SU# Dos Santos decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Boy, up you get! Dos Santos tries to grapple but his opponent circles letting Boy counter with a right hand. Dos Santos with a poor takedown letting Boy counter with a right hand. Dos Santos throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Boy cracks Dos Santos with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Dos Santos tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Boy pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Dos Santos is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
