#R1##TD# Pavelka closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. #SU# Pavelka decides to stand back up. #CL# Pavelka closes the distance and clinches. Pavelka lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Pavelka tries to score a body lock takedown but Wei shows good agility there to stay on his feet.#TD# Pavelka turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Pavelka wants to control for a moment but Wei uses the opportunity to move back to half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pavelka stalling. Pavelka has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Pavelka passes to full mount! Pavelka controlling from the full mount. #T1##SU# Pavelka stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. Pavelka throws a sloppy head kick and Wei moves out of range easily. Wei is looking to clinch. Pavelka is looking to counter the offense by Wei and move into the clinch. Pavelka really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.#CL# Pavelka rushes Wei and presses him up against the cage.#BC2# Wei manages to break the clinch.
Wei throws a head kick that misses and Pavelka counters with a left and a right that stings Wei. Pavelka tried to score with a low kick but Wei checks it. Choi Wei seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.#TD# Pavelka darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Pavelka content to control rather than advance. #SUB# Pavelka is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Wei defends it well. #T2##SUB# Pavelka seems to be working for a kimura but Wei defends the submission attempt. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Wei tries to kick Pavelka off but Pavelka keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Pavelka slows the pace down in half guard. #SUB# Pavelka is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Wei doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Pavelka. #T3##SUB# Pavelka seems to be working for a kimura but Wei defends the submission attempt.#SUB# Pavelka is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Wei is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

#R1# Wei lands a nice hook to Yamato's body. Yamato takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Wei tries to clinch but fails miserably #TD# and Yamato counters with a single leg into guard. Wei didn't expect that. Yamato wants to pass the guard but Wei is keeping the position.#SU# Yamato gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Yamato takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Wei fails in his attempt to clinch. #TD# Yamato shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Wei's guard. Yamato is pushing down on Wei's leg trying to pass to half guard. Wei is fighting to maintain full guard but Yamato has managed to sneak the leg through. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Yamato is controlling the pace.
#T1# Yamato's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Wei is in trouble now - Yamato has advanced to mount! Wei wants to try and get back to his feet. Yamato takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.#T2# There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Further stalling from Yamato.#SU# Yamato stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing. A slapping leg kick lands for Wei.
Wei connects with an inside leg kick. Wei lands a nice looking body kick. Yamato fails with a takedown attempt. Wei is looking for the big counter here.#T3##TD# Yamato fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Wei to the ground. Yamato is now in Wei's guard.#SU# Yamato decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Yamato on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Wei. Wei obviously looking to wear him down.
#TD# Wei tries to sprawl but Yamato drives through with a takedown into half guard. Wei tries to kick Yamato off in order to stand up. Yamato Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control. Yamato is breathing heavily. Yamato happy to just control the position for now. #T4# Yamato has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Wei is trying to get back to his feet. Wei is trying to escape the position but Yamato is controlling the position. Yamato tries to advance to mount but can't. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Akechi Yamato dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!#R2##CL# Yamato moves into the clinch. Yamato is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Wei can do to turn this around? Wei has a couple of punches blocked by Yamato.
Wei with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Wei lands a nice knee to the body. Yamato prevents a body shot from Wei. Yamato has had enough of the clinch but Wei keeps him there for the moment. Wei is looking to control Yamato's arms but Yamato gets an underhook and turns him. Now Wei has his back to the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Yamato wants to break free but Wei has control.
The referee calls for Wei to work.
Yamato has Wei pressed against the cage, preventing Wei from circling away and getting back to striking at range.#T1# Wei doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Yamato effectively controlling the action here. A short uppercut from Wei. Wei is trying to break the clinch but Yamato is controlling him. Wei softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Wei is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.#BC2# Wei pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Wei dips to his left and cracks Yamato with an uppercut! Wei misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
#T2# Wei throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Yamato stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. We've been told by Yamato's head coaches at Cozad MMA Tokyo that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Wei closes the distance looking to clinch #TD# and Yamato counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Yamato with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Yamato wants to pass to mount but Wei is defending the position. Yamato is figuring out what he wants to do next. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Yamato prevents Wei from standing back up.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.#T4# Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. If it seems like I'm not saying a lot, it's just because Yamato is stinking the place up with his stalling.#REF3# The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Wei looks to score with a jab to the body but Yamato is just out of range. Wei throws a combination that misses #TD# and Yamato counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Well, if Yamato is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Choi Wei will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's time! Yamato's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!#R3# Wei tries to land a body kick#TD# and Yamato counters with a nice double leg into side control. Wei won't be happy with that. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. #SU# Yamato decides to stand back up. Yamato steps back and let's Wei get back to his feet. Wei thows a leg kick but Yamato checks it #TD# and Yamato counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Yamato is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Wei can't keep his opponent in guard - Yamato advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Yamato trying to pass the guard but Wei defending well. Akechi Yamato overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Wei takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.#T1# Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Yamato in particular looking to stall. Yamato works his way into full mount! Yamato controlling his opponent. Wei squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
#T2# The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Yamato takes Wei's back. Wei is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Yamato.
Yamato seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Wei for as long as he can get away with. Yamato continues to stall.#T3# This is a sustained period of stalling by Yamato.#SUB# Yamato is working for the choke. It looks like he might have got it... has he...? Yes! Wei is tapping out! This one is all over!
