Scott working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Francis Charles. Francis Charles pushes down on Scott's leg and manages to get into half guard. Francis Charles working over Scott with some ground and pound. Scott looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.#CUT2#It looks like Sander Scott has been cut. Well, if Francis Charles is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Scott knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Francis Charles on the ground. #R1# Everett connects with a good right hand that stumbles Francis Charles. Francis Charles circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Francis Charles closes this distance looking for a takedown but Everett circles away. Everett keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Francis Charles walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.#CUT2#It looks like Quinton Francis Charles has been cut. Everett scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Francis Charles bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Everett throws an overhand right that lands on Francis Charles's shoulder, as Francis Charles tries to avoid the shot. Francis Charles half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Everett bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Francis Charles's head backwards. Francis Charles shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Everett throws out a counter right but Francis Charles avoids it with no problem. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Quinton Francis Charles. That's going to take a lot out of him. Everett takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Francis Charles avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Francis Charles goes for a double leg but Everett avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Everett continues to drive forward. Everett pushes Francis Charles back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. The crowd are loving this. Great action here.#BC2# Everett manages to break the clinch.
