Leandro works over Zangiev with some ground and pound from guard. Leandro stands up over Zangiev, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Leandro trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Leandro preventing the sweep. Leandro is looking to work some ground and pound but Zangiev has wrist control. He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Leandro looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Zangiev can't hide his disappointment, as Leandro celebrates the victory.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Zangiev postures up in Away's guard and throws a big left but Away blocks it. Zangiev postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Away manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Zangiev manages to get himself to full guard.
#REVB# Away engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Zangiev working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Away. Away trying to control but Zangiev is working from the bottom. Away has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Away won't allow Zangiev to sweep him here. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Zangiev throws a big elbow that misses. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Away holds on and takes a little breather. Zangiev has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Adams is trying to escape and get back to his feet.#SUB2# Zangiev thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Adams is pushing Zangiev's head away, looking to escape. Zangiev manages to hold on to the position though.#SUB2# Zangiev working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Adams knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Zangiev on the ground. Zangiev grinds an elbow into Adams's temple. Adams on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Adams tries to get out of the position. Adams is trying to get back to his feet.#SUB2# Zangiev thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
