Silk avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Bear tries to close the distance and clinch up but Silk swats him away and circles back towards the center. Bear looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Silk stuffs the takedown attempt from Bear. Bear gets slowly back to his feet. Bear tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Silk paws at him with a jab and circles away. Bear has a takedown stuffed. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Middle Bear. That's going to take a lot out of him.#TD2# Silk decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Silk controlling the action here. Barella is fighting it off but Bear persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Barella's guard against the cage. Barella manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage. Bear is working for a takedown up against the cage. #R1# A chopping leg kick lands by Ziegler. Ziegler definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Bear shoots and misses and Ziegler counters with a nice body shot. Jab by Bear. Bear tries to clinch up but Ziegler circles away and keeps his distance. Ziegler swings for the body but Bear moves out of range.
Ziegler sets himself, and Bear steps forward looking for the clinch! Ziegler avoids it this time. Ziegler fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.#CUT#It looks like Middle Bear has been cut. Bear walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Ziegler fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. A jab from Ziegler misses. Bear misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Ziegler keeps the fight on the outside. Mike Ziegler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bear uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Ziegler. Ziegler looks to score with a jab to the body but Bear is just out of range. Bear looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Ziegler finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Bednarski manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Bear is defended easily by Bednarski. Bear chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Bednarski can pounce on him.
