#R1##CL# Canales clinches up against the cage.#BC# Canales breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
KIng tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Canales swivels and escapes. KIng's coach down at Chuckles Strenght and Conditioning was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on KIng's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. KIng looks winded!#CL# Canales drives through and clinches with KIng against the cage.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.#TD# Canales gets control of KIng's arms and successfully pulls guard. Canales will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Canales wants to stand but KIng is controlling the position. Canales pulls KIng in close to prevent any damage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#T1##SUB# Canales looking for a triangle here. KIng is fighting it but it looks tight! Canales pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, KIng is tapping out - this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Mario Canales! |
