Scott utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Scott working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Lancaster. Scott tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Pulkkinen manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Scott fails with a takedown attempt. Scott shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Pulkkinen! But no joy. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Scott tries to clinch but Pulkkinen is having none of it. Scott fails miserably with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Xander Scott. That's going to take a lot out of him. Scott misses the body punch and Scott takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Scott has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Pulkkinen.#T1# Pulkkinen lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Pulkkinen throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. Scott tries to bum rush Pulkkinen with a series of wild strikes but Pulkkinen uses good footwork to avoid the assault. An inside leg kick lands from Pulkkinen. Scott rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Pulkkinen moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Pulkkinen swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Pulkkinen defending well as Scott loads up on a big left hand. #T2# Pulkkinen moves out of range as Scott strikes. Pulkkinen throws a half hearted mid kick. Pulkkinen dips to his left and cracks Scott with an uppercut! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Pulkkinen dodges the punch combination from Scott.
Pulkkinen punishes Scott's body with a nice straight punch. Pulkkinen misses the shot to the body. Pulkkinen feints and then cracks Scott's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Scott down. Scott shoots for a double leg takedown but Pulkkinen sprawls well. He's pushed Scott's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Pulkkinen is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Pulkkinen lands with a thumping leg kick.

and Pulkkinen counters with a left and a right... and another left... and another!! That last one turned off the lights! Scott has no idea who he is and is as he gazes up at the spotlights. Brutal knockout!

#R1# Scott fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Despite the aggression on Havas's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Havas stuffs the takedown attempt from Scott. Scott gets slowly back to his feet. Havas looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Scott shoots in but doesn't get the takedown #KD2# and Havas counters with a crisp one two that drops Scott! Havas thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Scott to his feet! Scott is in big trouble! Havas has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Xander Scott. That's going to take a lot out of him.#CL# Scott drives through and clinches with Havas against the cage.

I was talking to Scott's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. A short right hand to the side of the head by Scott. Havas wants to break the clinch but can't.

Scott walks straight into a right hand from Havas - that's dropped him! Havas jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Scott from any more punishment! Scott complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

Baddock circles away from the clinch attempt and Baddock counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.#CUT#It looks like Xander Scott has been cut. Scott dives in and grabs Baddock's left leg, looking for a takedown. Baddock pushes down on Scott's head and hops out. Baddock throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Scott looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Scott shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Baddock as he avoids it easily. Scott misses with a hook. We've been told by Baddock's head coaches at The Jungle Room that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Baddock misses with a looping left. Baddock lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Scott circles away quickly and effectively. Baddock is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Scott hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!
