Hooker shoots for a takedown but Yuong saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Nice takedown defense from Yuong. No joy for Hooker on that attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Daniel Hooker. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hooker shoots in for a takedown but Yuong shows good takedown defense. Hooker avoids a kick to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hooker is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Hooker with a poor takedown #CL2# and Yuong counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Yuong. Hooker prevents a takedown attempt there.

#T1##TD2# Yuong has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Hooker uses from the top position. Yuong seems keen to control Hooker's posture. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.#SUB2# Yuong is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Hooker has his hands clasped together but Yuong extends and breaks Hooker's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar!
