And in the blue corner, fighting out of St Petersburg, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Dan Steely! The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Aleksandr Martynov and Ivan Kurochkin.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.#CL# Ping clinches up with Steely and pushes him back against the cage.#TD# Ping is trying to trip Steely. He has hold of a leg but Steely is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Ping persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Ping (2) vs (0) Steely Steely looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. #SUB2# Ping content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Steely has locked up a guillotine! Steely's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Ping is holding on here and Steely must be using up a lot of energy. Ping has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Steely gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!

#R1##CL2# Morgandorffer closes the distance and clinches. #TD2# Morgandorffer has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Ping uses from the top position. Ping has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Ping trying to control the position from guard on top but Morgandorffer is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Morgandorffer is adopting a defensive guard. Morgandorffer's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Morgandorffer is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. #REVB# We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ping wants to improve his position but Morgandorffer is controlling well.

Morgandorffer passes to side control. Ping is trying to work for a sweep but Morgandorffer has mounted him! Morgandorffer controlling the position easily from mount. Ping tries to hold on but Morgandorffer pushes him away. #T2# Ping is wriggling around trying to escape.
#SUB2# Ping tries to improve his position but Morgandorffer has taken his back! Morgandorffer has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Ping tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Morgandorffer pushes Ping away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
