#R1# A looping hook to the body misses from McAlroy. Sands does a little dance to reset his feet. Danga de danga de dang - Sands scores with a four punch combination! McAlroy is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Sands. Sands is clearly trying to counter these attacks from McAlroy with a body shot. Sands moves in looking to clinch but McAlroy pushes him off. McAlroy misses the shot to the body. McAlroy has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Nice body punch from McAlroy. Sands uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by McAlroy.

Sands throws a wild hook but McAlroy just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Sands gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - McAlroy raises his hands in celebration and walks away!

#R1# Thrax misses with a straight left. Sands throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Thrax missing with a left hand there. Sands was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Thrax jabbing away but nothing is landing. Thrax throws a big shot that misses. Sands tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Sands connects with the punch. Thrax defending well as Sands loads up on a big left hand. Thrax uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Sands. Roy Sands seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Thrax uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Sands. Thrax takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Sands connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. #CL# Thrax clinches with his opponent.

I was talking to Thrax's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Thrax misses with the head strike.

Sands lands with a shot to the body. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Thrax is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Sands. #R1# Sung takes one on the chin but seems OK.
#CL# Sung gets in close and instigates a clinch. Sung is trying to drag Sands to the mat but Sands just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Sands jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Sung walks away with a smile on his face. Sands gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Sands scores with the left hand. Sung knows he should have avoided that one. Sands throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Sung stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.#CL# Sung drives through and clinches with Sands against the cage.

Sands with a jab. Sung's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Sands connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Sung scrambles back to his feet.#CL# Sung drives through and clinches with Sands against the cage.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Sands is looking to clinch but Sung is avoiding it.

Sung is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Sands will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Sands tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck. #SUB# Sung working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. #SUB# Sung is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Sands has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Sands scores with a one two! Sung had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Sands throws a nice inside leg kick. A low kick lands for Sung.
Roy Sands seems to be getting the better of the standup. Sands tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Sung defends well and Sands ends up having to push Sung into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.#TD# Sung closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Sands quickly recovers to half guard. Lee Sung overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Sung tries to pass the half guard into mount. Sands knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Sung content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Sands tries to kick Sung off but Sung keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. #T2# Sung is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. #SUB# Sands is defending against the submission attempts here by Sung.

Sung drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Sung looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Sands's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Sands duly obliges. Sands connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Sands fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Sung avoids it really well and circles away. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Sung seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Sung's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Sung pushes past his half guard into mount! Sands takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Sung tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. #T4# Sands tries to hold on but Sung pushes him away. #SUB# Sung jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Sands is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Sands and Sung has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Sung is staying tight to Sands's torso, preventing him from escaping.
