Tenacious throws a body shot but no joy.
Ling gets cracked there but stands up to it.
#CUT#It looks like Xing Ling has been cut.
Tenacious misses with a lunging right hand
and Ling counters with a straight right hand.
Ling throws a hook to the side of Tenacious's head but Tenacious sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Tenacious swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Ling keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Tenacious works Ling's body with a nice hook.
Ling gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Tenacious.
Ling throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Tenacious on the side of the head.
Ling walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Ling takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Ling throws a jab when Tenacious was well out of range.
Tenacious cracks Ling with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Ling tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Tenacious pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Ling is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Terry Tenacious!
After winning the bout, Terry Tenacious thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility. |

Tenacious gets tackled into the cage by Shmingles. Shmingles maintains the clinch.
Shmingles tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Tenacious avoids it.#TD2#
Shmingles has hold of one of Tenacious's legs. Tenacious is fighting the takedown attempt but Shmingles gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Tenacious wants to stand but Shmingles is controlling the position. #SUB2#
Shmingles is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Tenacious is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Tenacious has escaped and now he's on top! #REVR#

Shmingles is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Shmingles's coach down at Milkys Cave was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Shmingles's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

and Tenacious counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Shmingles thinking. #KD#
Tenacious feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Shmingles sprawling to the canvas! Shmingles rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Tenacious finish him?!

Shmingles ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Tenacious lands a nice looking body shot.
Tenacious finds Shmingles's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Shmingles flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Tenacious lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Shmingles will be OK.

A looping hook to the body misses from Tenacious. Greene does a little dance to reset his feet.
Tenacious dodges the punch combination from Greene.
Greene swinging wildly here.
Greene keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Tenacious lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Tenacious takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Tenacious dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Tenacious throws a body punch but Greene moves out of range.
Tenacious swats away the attempt to clinch by Greene.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Cobra fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Tenacious manages to avoid it.
Cobra rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Tenacious counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Tenacious lands a jab to the nose.
Tenacious lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Tenacious, as that shot connected.
A decent looking cross lands there for Tenacious.#CUT#It looks like Bosh Jarnett has been cut.
Jarnett darts in looking for a takedown but Tenacious gets double underhooks and turns Jarnett into the cage.
Tenacious misses with a hook. Jarnett ducked under it nicely.
Jarnett takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Tenacious sizes up Jarnett with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Tenacious throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Jarnett on the side of the head.

Tenacious sets himself, and Rocket steps forward looking for the clinch! Tenacious avoids it this time.
