Ajer tries to close the distance and clinch up but Maykit swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Maykit throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Ajer throws a good cross that connects.
Maykit definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Ajer wants to clinch up but Maykit keeps it at a distance.

and Maykit counters with a nice uppercut.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Maykit bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Ajer is looking to get back to his feet here but Maykit is keeping cool and he's managed to take Ajer's back.
Ajer covering up well under a series of strikes from Maykit.

Ajer tries to close the distance and clinch but Thoupos swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Ajer wants to clinch up but Thoupos keeps it at a distance.
Thoupos tries to counter by clinching up but Ajer breaks away and moves out of range.
Ajer is looking to clinch but Thoupos is avoiding it.

letting Thoupos counter with a right hand. #CUT#It looks like Kritoff Ajer has been cut.
Ajer tries to close the distance and clinch but Thoupos swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Thoupos lands with a big right hook that stumbles Ajer - he's out on his feet here! Thoupos follows up with another monster hook that separates Ajer from consciousness! Ajer falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Thoupos stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Kane Thoupos!
After winning the bout, Kane Thoupos thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility. |
