We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Johnson has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Horrible takedown attempt by Afar or perhaps it was just good defense by Johnson, which made it look bad.
Johnson leaves Afar with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Willy Johnson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jamar Afar.
Afar with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Johnson to score with a decent uppercut.
