#R1# Lygre uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Green. Lygre drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Lygre loads up on a big right hand but Green slips the punch. Green rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Lygre counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Green thinking. Green wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Lygre moves out of range as Green strikes. It seemed like Lygre was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.#CL# Green closes the distance and clinches. Green scores with an uppercut up the middle. Green lands a hook that snaps the head of Lygre backwards. Lygre can't break the clinch.
Green stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Green lands a left hand.
Lygre tries to break the clinch but Green is controlling the position. Green lands with a left to the head. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Green lands a right hand that snaps the head of Lygre backwards. A hook to the body from Green.

Lygre takes a shot to the head. Lygre told us before the fight that he's been working on his elbows. An under utilised technique these days - let's see if it can sway the outcome of the fight. Lygre is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Green lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Lygre to his knees! Green keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!

Stiruz Lygre was interviewed post fight and said 'I want to apologize to my opponent for letting him think that was my best performance. I was out drinking all night yesterday, probably going to forget this entire night by tommorrow. So it doesn't count in my book. '. |

#R1# Lygre shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Jones eats them both and turns towards Lygre to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Jones slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Lygre slips a jab and a cross from Jones.
Lygre swinging wildly here.
Jones just misses with a punch to the body.
Lygre keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
#CL# Jones gets a clinch. #BC2# Lygre breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Lygre moves away from the strike by Jones. Jones misses with a straight right. Despite the aggression on Lygre's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Lygre slips a straight right by Jones. Lygre throws a nice looking combination but Jones bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Jones walks forward, straight into a front kick from Lygre. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Jones misses the jab. Jones throws a shot from downtown. Lygre moves away and avoids it.#T1# Lygre goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Jones throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

James Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lygre thumps Jones with a low kick. Lygre scores with a jab to the jaw. Jones on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Jones misses with the combination.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. The fighters circling - Jones throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Jones throws a lazy uppercut
and Lygre counters with a right hand to the body. Lygre slips a straight right by Jones. Lygre misses with a jab, cross combination.

Can Jones finish him? Lygre is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. BOOM! Jones lands a beautiful left hook that drops Lygre. Lygre tries to recover but Jones is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Lygre lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
