#R1# Bennett is looking to clinch. Pollard lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Pollard circles away from the clinch attempt and Pollard counters with a two punch combo. Bennett tries to grapple but his opponent circles #TD2# and Pollard counters with a shoot takedown. Bennett fights it but they end up in guard. Pollard stops Bennett from standing up. Pollard with a nice head shot there. Bennett is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Pollard is controlling him. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pollard cracks Bennett with a solid left hand. Pollard trying to control but Bennett is working from the bottom. Pollard must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Bennett is looking to stand up but Pollard isn't so interested in that idea. Bennett could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.#T1# Pollard loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Pollard is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Bennett is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Pollard working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Bennett's head. Bennett avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Pollard with a couple of shots to the head there. Bennett might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Pollard chips away with some ground and pound. Pollard controls from within his opponent's guard. Pollard trying to control the position from guard on top but Bennett is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Pollard sitting in guard here, content to control. Pollard is in close to Bennett's body, working some short punches and elbows. Pollard gets to his feet and stands over Bennett, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Bennett felt that one! Pollard unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Bennett from any more punishment!
