Alawi is trying to maintain the position but Pugsley is very close to passing his half guard. Pugsley tries to pass the half guard into mount. Alawi knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though. Alawi looking to hit a scissor sweep but Pugsley is one step ahead there. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Pugsley. Hug's jab looks to have found its range, popping Pugsley under the eye. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Armstrong tries to get out of the position. Armstrong looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
