Smith lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Maas catches Smith with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Smith swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Maas.
A nice leg kick from Maas, right into the meat of the thigh.
Maas is looking to chop away at Smith's legs.
Maas misses with a two punch combination.
Smith appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Maas throws a left and a right that both miss
and Smith counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Nice defenses there by Smith.
Smith throws a big counter combination but Maas scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Maas get stunned by a cross and takes another one on the button. Maas stumbles backwards and tries to bounce back off the cage but Smith runs in and jumps on him with a leaping lead hook that puts him out! Wow, that was highlight reel stuff! Awesome finish!

Marden missing with a left hand there. Maas was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Maas misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Maas looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Maas wants to sweep here but Marden controlling him for the moment.
Marden passes Maas's right leg, so he's now in half guard. #SUB#
Marden is trying to work for a kimura but Maas is defending well.
Maas trying to hold on to Marden's head to control him but Marden postures up.

Marden has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Maas defend it? Marden steps over the head and cranks it - Maas is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Marden!

Maas missing with a left hand there. Dreyar was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Maas tries a low kick but Dreyar avoids it.
Maas on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Dreyar throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Maas sees it coming and avoids it easily.
A lazy body kick from Maas
and Dreyar counters with a straight right hand.
Maas walks straight into a right hand from Dreyar - that's dropped him! Dreyar jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Maas from any more punishment! Maas complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

And in the blue corner, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, with a TWGC record of 5 wins and 1 losses; Adryan Souza!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Stewart Dunkirk and Robert Twigg.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Maas is looking to clinch.
Adryan Souza seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Souza fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Souza darts in looking for a takedown but Maas gets double underhooks and turns Souza into the ropes.

Maas has closed the distance and engaged Souza in a clinch.

Maas tries to free his leg and advance position but Souza is retaining full guard.
Maas wants to control from the top but Souza keeps moving.

He's locked it up tight! Maas's face has turned purple! Will he tap? Will he! YES! He's tapped! Souza picked his opening and made it count! Great finish!
