A jab from Tomonaga finds it's way through Costa's defenses. Costa misses with an uppercut. Tomonaga saw that one coming. It seemed like Tomonaga was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Costa with a lazy takedown attempt and Tomonaga counters with a lovely shot to the body. Costa looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Johan Costa. That's going to take a lot out of him. Costa looks to clinch letting Tomonaga counter with a right hand. Costa doesn't succeed with the takedown and Tomonaga cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tomonaga keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
