Good shot there by Ripper. Calaway with a nice cross. Calaway swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
And Ripper responds with a good body kick, but Calaway manages to step out the way in time. Calaway has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Ripper is looking to chop away at Calaway's legs. Ripper misses with a head kick.
It looked like Calaway was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. A head kick misses from Ripper. Calaway is looking to counter punch. Ripper dodges the punch combination from Calaway.

Ripper connects with a solid leg kick. Ripper thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Calaway if he has to take too many more of those.
A chopping leg kick lands by Ripper. Ripper throws a leg kick which misses Calaway's front leg but catches the back leg as Calaway tries to avoid it. Calaway is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. A solid leg kick lands there for Ripper.

Calaway attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ripper throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Calaway manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Ripper jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

#R1# Calaway throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Johnson shoots in looking for a takedown. Calaway tries to sprawl out of it but Johnson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Calaway manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. #CL2# Johnson closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Johnson fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Johnson tries to pull guard but Calaway forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Mark Calaway has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Boris Johnson. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#TD# Calaway pulls guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Johnson is fighting to break Calaway's control of his arms but Calaway is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Johnson throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. #T1# Johnson wants to control from the top but Calaway keeps moving. Calaway looking to hit a scissor sweep but Johnson is one step ahead there. #SUB# Calaway is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
