#R1# Mayer swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Mayer has his takedown stuffed and Frost counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Frost digs a good hook to Mayer's body.
Mayer tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Frost defends well and Mayer ends up having to push Frost into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Mayer tries for a takedown but Frost circles away easily and Frost counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Frost definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Darren Frost has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Max Mayer. Frost cracks Mayer with a hook to the temple - Mayer is on wobbly legs here! Frost swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Mayer falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Frost wins by TKO!

#R1# Mayer throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.#TD# Mayer scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Shusharin can't do much from the bottom here. Shusharin is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Mayer's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Mayer lands a nice short elbow. Mayer working over Shusharin with some ground and pound. Shusharin looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Shusharin is pressing down on Mayer's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Mayer distracts Shusharin with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Mayer sitting in guard here, content to control. Shusharin is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Mayer has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. Shusharin keeping full guard, as Mayer tries to pass. and Pauli counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Mayer's coach down at was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Mayer's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Mayer throws an off balance right hand
and Pauli counters with a straight right hand. A slow jab from Pauli misses its intended target. Mayer misses with a takedown attempt enabling Pauli to counter with a crisp jab. Pauli scores with a jab to the jaw. Mayer pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Pauli is looking to counter the offense by Mayer and move into the clinch. Mayer misses with a takedown enabling Pauli to counter with a crisp jab. Mayer takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Pauli thows a left - swing and a miss! #CL# Mayer gets tackled into the cage by Pauli. Pauli maintains the clinch. #R1# Mayer throws a jab when Balada was well out of range. Mayer closes the distance and clinches up with Balada, looking for a takedown. Mayer pushes Balada against the cage but Balada circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Balada attempts a counter takedown but Mayer avoids it well and moves away. Mayer throws a hook but Balada avoids it easily. Balada half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Balada steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Mayer. Balada drops down looking for a counter takedown but Mayer sprawls and moves away. Mayer goes for a double leg but Balada avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Balada continues to drive forward. Mayer shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Balada as he avoids it easily. Tony Balada has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Max Mayer. Balada keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Mayer. Balada feinted with a counter takedown. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
