#REVB# A lull in the action here as Paulie stalls from top position. You can see the frustration on Pene's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Paulie remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Pene wants to control but Paulie postures up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Paulie takes a little break here. Pene wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. #R1# Forking dives in and grabs Paulie's left leg, looking for a takedown. Paulie pushes down on Forking's head and hops out. A head kick by Forking misses #TD# and Paulie counters with a shoot takedown. Forking fights it but they end up in guard. Paulie controlling from the top position. Paulie is working Forking over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Paulie keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Forking's head. Paulie lands a couple of digs. Forking looking for a sweep. Not yet Forking, not yet. Forking trying to keep a closed guard but Paulie is proving a slippery customer.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Paulie is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Paulie with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Paulie swats away the attempt to clinch by Culligan.#TD# Paulie closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Culligan to the mat! Culligan manages to get full guard. Paulie controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Paulie advances position into side control! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Paulie scores with punches from side control. Paulie is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Culligan's shoulder. That is not cool. #T1# Paulie connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Culligan some visible discomfort.
