Gomes is pressed up against the cage. Larry has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Gomes down to the mat. Gomes avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Gomes has cracked Larry with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Gomes lands another huge swinging hook and Larry tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Larry, before Gomes can land any more shots!

No luck with that takedown attempt from Kaanaana. #TD2#
Kaanaana feints and as Gomes raises his hands in defense, Kaanaana changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Kaanaana loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Kaanaana advances to half guard.
Kaanaana thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Gomes's head.

Kaanaana is nestled in close to Gomes, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Kaanaana connects with a nice short shot to Gomes's temple.
