#R1# Kong shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Shaw defends it nicely.#TD# Shaw bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.#SUB# Shaw looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Kong holds on to Shaw's head and controls the position momentarily. Kong is looking to reverse the position.#SUB# Shaw wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Kong , who protects the arm well. You can see the frustration on Kong 's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SUB# Shaw looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. #SUB# Shaw goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Kong rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Shaw's guard! Nice work there by Kong ! #T1##SUB# Shaw throws his legs up looking for a submission but Kong uses it to pass to side control.
You can see the frustration on Shaw's face as Kong controls the position. #SU2# Kong decides to stand up, so the ref orders Shaw to his feet. Shaw leaves Kong with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Kong dives in and grabs Shaw's left leg, looking for a takedown. Shaw pushes down on Kong 's head and hops out. Shaw half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. David Shaw has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of TC Kong . Kong shoots in looking for a takedown but Shaw manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Kong 's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Shaw attempts a counter takedown but Kong avoids it well and moves away. Shaw avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Shaw changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kong tries to avoid it but Shaw manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kong to the ground. Kong escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Kong tries to clinch but Shaw moves out of range. Shaw shoots in but doesn't get the takedown #TD2# and Kong counters with a nice double leg into side control. Shaw won't be happy with that. #T2# Shaw is looking to reverse the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Shaw is working hard here to advance position.#SUB2# Kong has hold of Shaw's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Shaw seems comfortable defending it but Kong has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Shaw is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Shaw is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Kong couldn't care less - he's delighted!

#R1##TD2# Mikami throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Kong was covering up waiting for the punch and Mikami finishes the takedown easily into guard. Mikami trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Kong is trying to control the position but Mikami postures up. Kong wants to sweep here but Mikami controlling him for the moment. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mikami lands a couple of digs. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mikami wants to get up but he can't break Kong 's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Mikami forces his way into half guard. Mikami with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. #T1# Mikami is thwarting Kong 's attempts to control the position. Mikami wants to take a breather but Kong is having none of it. Mikami working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. #SUB2# Kong is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Mikami has latched onto it... Big trouble! Mikami pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Kong is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Mikami!
