Horrible takedown attempt by Karyavin or perhaps it was just good defense by Desce, which made it look bad.

Karyavin shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Desce but Desce pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Desce is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Desce cracks Karyavin on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Karyavin falls backwards against the cage. Desce follows up with more strikes that drop Karyavin to his knees. Desce keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Karyavin! This one is all over!

You can see the frustration on Simbolon's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
