#R1# De Formiga swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.#CL# De Formiga clinches up with Freeman and pushes him back against the cage. Freeman should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. De Formiga effectively controlling the action here. Freeman is trying to pull guard but De Formiga turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. De Formiga slowing the pace effectively. The referee is keeping an eye on De Formiga - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Freeman jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as De Formiga walks away with a smile on his face. Freeman gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. De Formiga swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Freeman.#CUT#It looks like Gordon Freeman has been cut. Freeman shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. De Formiga eats them both and turns towards Freeman to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. De Formiga throws a big shot that misses. Freeman unleashes a big counter combination but De Formiga bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Freeman uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from De Formiga.#TD2# De Formiga gets caught napping as Freeman dives in and scores a takedown. De Formiga manages to retain guard. De Formiga is looking to stand back up but Freeman counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by De Formiga. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.#REVR# De Formiga wants to improve his position but Freeman is controlling well.
#T1# Freeman uses his free foot to push down on De Formiga's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for De Formiga. Freeman landing strikes from the mount and De Formiga is in trouble! Freeman is landing with some decent strikes but De Formiga is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Freeman is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. De Formiga can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Freeman controlling from mount. De Formiga is bucking up trying to escape but Freeman cracks him with another couple of good strikes.#T2# De Formiga is in a horrible position here. Freeman smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Freeman prevents De Formiga from getting the reversal. Freeman landing strikes from the mount and De Formiga is in trouble! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. De Formiga looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back! De Formiga is trying to get back to his feet but Freeman has full control of the position and if anything, De Formiga has just worked his way into a worse spot.#SUB2# Freeman sinks in the hooks and is looking for the choke. He's got it! De Formiga taps out!
