That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Sterling has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Sterling dives in and grabs Seagull's left leg, looking for a takedown. Seagull pushes down on Sterling's head and hops out. Seagull lands a nice hook to Sterling's body. Tracks tried to counter with a leg kick but Sterling avoided it. Sterling darts in looking for a takedown but Dogg gets double underhooks and turns Sterling into the cage. #TD2# Dogg has picked Sterling up - he's going for a ride! Dogg dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Dogg lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Dogg trying to control from half guard but Sterling is working away. Sterling slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.#SUB# Sterling looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Dogg working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Dogg lands a couple of decent looking shots. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dogg is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. #R1# Sterling shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Island but Island pushes him off and we're back to square one. Sterling throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Island's waist but Island gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sterling off to one side. Island lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Sterling shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Island pinned against the cage. Island gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Aljamain Sterling. That's going to take a lot out of him. Sterling with a lazy takedown attempt and Island counters with a nice uppercut. #TD2# Island shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Sterling looking to hit a scissor sweep but Island is one step ahead there. #SUB# Sterling is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Island has his hands clasped together but Sterling extends and breaks Island's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Sterling.

#R1##TD2# Moo gets caught flat footed, as Sterling shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Sterling wants to control from the top but Moo keeps moving. Sterling passes Moo's left leg - he's now in half guard. #SUB2# Sterling is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Moo is just riding it out for now. Sterling eventually gives up the hold. Moo knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sterling on the ground. Sterling seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Moo does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SUB2# Sterling is working for a submission of some sort.

Sterling frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. #SUB2# Moo has left one of his arms exposed and Sterling doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Moo screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
