Jay throws a right and a left that Cupal avoids nicely. Cupal tried to counter with a leg kick but Jay avoided it. Jay has his takedown stuffed enabling Cupal to counter with a crisp jab. Jay with a poor takedown #KD# and Cupal counters with a crisp right hand that drops Jay! Cupal lets Jay back up to his feet, looking for a finish!#CUT#It looks like King Jay has been cut. Rudy Cupal has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of King Jay. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Cupal connects with a leg kick. Jay dives in for a single leg takedown but Cupal sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. A head kick by Jay misses and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Jay shoots in but no luck this time. Jay looks winded! Jay misses with a combination

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. A kick lands to the mid section there for Cupal. Cupal swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Jay.#KD# Cupal sends Jay crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Cupal is motioning to the referee to let Jay up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!#ROC#Jay is rocked! Jay drops his hands momentarily. Cupal doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Jay staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Jay doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.

#R1# No luck with that takedown attempt from Jay. Jay is looking to clinch. Jay fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Jay is looking to take this fight into the clinch. It looked like Boxer was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Jay. Jay shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Boxer counters with a nice uppercut. Kick Boxer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of King Jay. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jay tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Boxer paws at him with a jab and circles away. Jay with a lazy takedown attempt and Boxer counters with a big right hand! Oh Jay is in trouble here! Boxer follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!

#R1# Jay tries to score a power double leg takedown but Cupal sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jay somewhat. Jay tries to close the distance and clinch up but Cupal swats him away and circles back towards the center. Jay moves in looking to clinch but Cupal pushes him off. Jay takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jay on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Cupal. Cupal obviously looking to wear him down.
Cupal with the inside leg kick. Jay shoots in looking for a takedown but Cupal manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Jay's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for King Jay. That's going to take a lot out of him. Cupal fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Jay.#T1# Jay tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Cupal manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Cupal connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Cupal looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
King Jay seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.#KD2# Oooooh!!! Cupal has knocked Jay down with a huge combo! Cupal steps away and waves a wobbly Jay back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!#ROC2#Jay is rocked!#CUT2#It looks like King Jay has been cut. Cupal scores with a leg kick.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Jay fails in his attempt to clinch. A combination from Cupal does no damage. Nice defenses there by Cupal. Jay misses with a takedown attempt #KD2# and Cupal counters with a crisp one two that drops Jay! Cupal thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Jay to his feet! Jay is in big trouble! Oh Jay is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Cupal turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Cupal lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Jay backs away from a small jab... but Cupal lunges forward with a huge superman punch! Jay crumples to the ground as his mouth piece is sent flying! Cupal with a spectacular finish!

#R1# Jay tries to clinch #TD2# and Grouper counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Jay is looking for a sweep. Grouper is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Grouper trying to mount his opponent but Jay defends it. Grouper working the head and body with strikes. Grouper content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jay wants to control but Grouper passes into side.
#T1# Jay trying to remain calm as Grouper controls from the top position. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Grouper working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.#SUB2# Grouper tries for a kimura but Jay is defending well. Grouper takes a little break here. Jay wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Jay can't do much from the bottom here. Grouper landing strikes. #T2##SUB2# Grouper tries for a kimura but Jay is defending well. Grouper controlling from side mount. #SU2# Grouper has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Jay shoots and misses #CL2# and Grouper holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Grouper as Jay tries to tie him up. Jay is breathing heavily. Jay tries to throw a body punch but Grouper avoids it by throwing Jay back against the cage. #T3# A battle for position here, against the cage. Grouper prevents the takedown attempt.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for King Jay. That's going to take a lot out of him.#TD2# Grouper gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Jay wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Grouper manages to pass to side control. #REVR# Grouper passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Jay! #T4# Grouper takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.#SUB2# Jay is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Grouper locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Jay is forced to tap!
