As Jay backs away, Cupal returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Jay throws a right and a left that Cupal avoids nicely.
Cupal tried to counter with a leg kick but Jay avoided it.
Jay has his takedown stuffed
enabling Cupal to counter with a crisp jab.

and Cupal counters with a crisp right hand that drops Jay! Cupal lets Jay back up to his feet, looking for a finish!#CUT#It looks like King Jay has been cut.
Rudy Cupal has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of King Jay.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Jay drops his hands momentarily. Cupal doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Jay staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Jay doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Jay.
Jay is looking to clinch.
Jay fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Jay is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
It looked like Boxer was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Jay.
Jay shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Boxer counters with a nice uppercut.
Kick Boxer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of King Jay.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jay tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Boxer paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Jay tries to score a power double leg takedown but Cupal sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jay somewhat.

Jay tries to close the distance and clinch up but Cupal swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Jay moves in looking to clinch but Cupal pushes him off.
Jay takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
