#R1# Crush defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Forssell. Forssell shoots and misses letting Crush counter with a right hand. #TD2# Forssell shoots in and bounces Crush off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Crush is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Forssell advances position into side control!#SUB2# Forssell tries for a kimura but Crush is defending well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Crush wants to control but Forssell postures up. Crush is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Forssell off and has taken his back!#T1# I really don't envy Forssell right now.
Forssell just trying to survive but Crush is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish. Will Crush go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?

Crush doesn't have the hooks in and Forssell manages to turn into his guard.
Forssell wants to pass the guard but Crush is keeping the position.#SUB2# Forssell drops back, looking for a kneebar! Crush looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Crush looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Crush! #REVR# The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Forssell tries to get back to half guard but can't. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Ultra Crush will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!#R2# Crush ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Forssell fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Crush avoids it really well and circles away. Forssell with a poor takedown and Crush counters with a nice uppercut. #TD2# Forssell throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Crush was covering up waiting for the punch and Forssell finishes the takedown easily into guard. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Crush is on top in guard.
#REVR# Forssell is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Crush postures up.
#T1##SUB2# Forssell is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Crush defends well. Forssell keeping moving, preventing Crush from controlling successfully. Forssell seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Crush preventing the sweep. #T2# Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Forssell pulls Crush in to control the position. Forssell looking for a sweep. Not yet Forssell, not yet. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Forssell can do anything to dispel that myth. Forssell controls Crush momentarily but Crush frees himself. #SUB2# Forssell is looking to cinch up a triangle. Crush throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Forssell's body to avoid the submission. Forssell has instead reached around Crush's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Forssell arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:43 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Timo Forssell! Timo Forssell decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way. |
