#R1##CL# Slow closes the distance and pushes Sharpen back into the cage. Slow is leaning against Sharpen and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Sharpen takes a shot to the head. Slow presses Sharpen against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Sharpen jumps guard but Slow stands there with Sharpen around his waist. Sharpen gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Sharpen has had enough of the clinch but Slow keeps him there for the moment. Slow lands a hook that snaps the head of Sharpen backwards. Slow lands an uppercut. Slow cracks Sharpen with a nice body shot. A short left from Slow. Slow lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. A short right from Slow. Slow lands a left hand that snaps the head of Sharpen backwards. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!#TD2# Sharpen has picked Slow up - he's going for a ride! Sharpen dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Slow manages to escape and get back to his feet! Sharpen ducks right into an uppercut from Slow. Slow throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Sharpen stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Slow bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Sharpen's head. We've been told by Slow's head coaches at New York Training Academy that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.#T1# Sharpen walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Slow punishes Sharpen's body with a nice straight punch.#CL# Slow has Sharpen up against the cage in a clinch.
A short right from Slow on the inside. Sharpen takes a shot to the head. Sharpen is trying to pull guard but Slow has him pressed against the cage. Slow lands a nice uppercut.#ROC#Sharpen is rocked! An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Slow. Sharpen is still on wobbly legs! Can Slow finish him? Slow misses with the head strike.
Slow swings wildly with an uppercut but Sharpen uses good head movement to avoid it. Slow misses with a short punch on the inside. Sharpen seems to have recovered his senses. A short body shot lands from Slow as the two fighters clinch.
A shot in the inside from Slow. Slow lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Sharpen backwards. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! A hook to the body from Slow.
Slow lands a left hand.
Slow lands an uppercut.#T2# Slow stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. A nice right hand lands inside from Slow. Sharpen's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Slow is working Sharpen over against the cage. Slow unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Sharpen! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Slow is unloading with more strikes now! Sharpen drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Slim Slow! Slim Slow decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way. The defeated Garbol Sharpen had this to say: 'Smash that'. |

#R1# Toyota misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Sharpen feinted with a counter takedown. Toyota shoots in and drives through. Sharpen sprawls well. Masaki Toyota seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sharpen swats away the attempt to clinch by Toyota. Toyota looks to clinch #TD# and Sharpen counters with a shoot takedown. Toyota fights it but they end up in guard. Sharpen scoring with some ground and pound. #SUB# Sharpen drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Sharpen jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Sharpen is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Sharpen postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Toyota really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sharpen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.#SUB# Sharpen drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Sharpen seems to have locked his on tight now - Toyota screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Sharpen, as he picks up the win!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kneebar). Garbol Sharpen! Garbol Sharpen decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little. |

#R1# Sharpen tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Johnson defends well and Sharpen ends up having to push Johnson into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Johnson works on Sharpen's body with a couple of short punches. Johnson scores with a nice hook to the head. Sharpen is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Johnson pushes Sharpen back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. A shot in the inside from Johnson. Johnson lands with a light punch inside. #ROC2#Sharpen is rocked! Sharpen is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Johnson to keep the fight standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Garbol Sharpen. That's going to take a lot out of him. Come on Johnson - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Johnson gets through Sharpen's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Oh Sharpen is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Sharpen trying to stall but Johnson improves his position.
Johnson throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Sharpen wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Johnson has him pressed against the cage. Johnson scores with a nice hook to the head. Johnson creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Sharpen's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Sharpen drops to his knees and Johnson pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lefty Johnson! During a confident post fight interview, Lefty Johnson thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him. Garbol Sharpen was interviewed post fight and said 'Smash that'. |

Garbol Sharpen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sharpen doesn't manage to clinch there - Sayed circles away.
Sayed lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Sharpen tries to close the distance and clinch up but Sayed swats him away and circles back towards the center. Sayed feints a counter leg kick. Sharpen looks to clinch #TD2# and Sayed counters with a single leg into guard. Sharpen didn't expect that. Sayed looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Sharpen is looking to stand up but Sayed isn't so interested in that idea. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#T1##ES# Sharpen pushes Sayed off and gets back to his feet.

Sharpen moves out of the way of the counter high kick fromSayed. Sharpen with a lazy takedown attempt and Sayed counters with a lovely straight right hand! Sharpen misses with a jab, cross combination.
#T4# Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.#TD2# Sayed shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Sharpen's guard. Sayed looks winded! Sharpen is looking to sweep but instead, Sayed has passed into half guard.
Sharpen wants to get back to full guard. Sharpen is working hard here to advance position. Sharpen is trying to control but Sayed passes into side control!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Sharpen tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops. Sharpen might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Sharpen trying to control the hands but Sayed won't let him. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Sayed scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Sharpen wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Sayed manages to pass to side control. Sharpen is trying to maintain the position but Sayed is very close to passing his half guard. Sharpen is trying to stand back up but Sayed is controlling him
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Sayed is figuring out what he wants to do next. Garbol Sharpen has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Sulaiman Sayed is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.#SUB# Sharpen is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Sayed pulls his head out easily.
